Engine noise at start up
Noises problem
1989 GMC Van V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 190000 miles
I own a GMC Vandura 3/4 ton van conversion. 5,2 litre v-8. original engine with almost 200000 miles. just recently upon start up the engine is making a noise that sounds like a "purring clicking" noise. The noise is louder the colder the engine is or the longer between starts. The noise gradually quiets and fades as the engine warms up. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
