1987 GMC Van no gas to the fuel injectors

1987 GMC Van V8 Two Wheel Drive
the motor that I put into my van was running when they drove the vehicle into the yard. I took out my old one and put the new one in. I changed a 350 for a 350. Now I can't get it to start. it isn't getting any gas. I put a new fuel filter on. If i put gas directly into the fuel injection system the van will start and run until it burns the gas that I poured into it. The motor isn't pushing gas to the fuel injectors. How can I fix this?
