1997 GMC Suburban erratic idle, hard start when warm

I have replaced, plugs, wires, cap, and rotor, intake gasket and pleninum gasket, thermostat and coolant. When I pulled out spark plugs they showed normal even wear. This engine runs well but is hard to start warm and idles shitty! I get no check eng. Light but still have these problems after everything iv'e done? Please help! John

Same problem as previous post, truck starts and runs fine when it's cold, but when it's warm and shutoff then restarted it's really lazy and idles erratic and low for about 30 seconds then is back running fine.

I had this problem with mine as well, it turned out it was the egr valve. here is a link to what it looks like.

it is right on the front of the engine smack dab in the middle. it is an expencive part so i would talk the old one off and see if you can clean it, the problem happens cus carbon builds up on it and the plunger thing on the bottom stops working right. make sure you get a gasket b4 you take it off though, it will mess up. hope this helps, i have a 4x4 so the part number is probly different.
