I recently brought my truck into the shop to be serviced. They did the following things:

1) I had a broken stud in my exhaust line removed and replaced with bolts.

2) The oil filter was changed.

3) Washer fluid and power steering fluid were topped off.

4) Air filter was checked and called "OK," my radiator fluid was also checked and called "OK."

5) I also had the brakes checked - rotors and pads were in good shape.

I picked up the truck and drove it home. The next day I was driving into work and my check engine light came on. I made another appointment and brought it back.

My mechanic pulled the codes and found the following:

- P0140 - "low 02's activity, B152"
- P0141 - "02 heater bank 1 sensor 2"
- P0300 - "miss fire detected"

He said he cleared the codes and drove it. The light didn't come on again. I picked up the truck. Sure enough, the next day, the light came back. I think he hadn't driven it enough for my computer to accumulate the data it needed to fully reset.

Anyway, I'm trying to sell this truck. It won't pass Massachusetts State Inspection with a check engine light on. I had driven the truck without a check engine light for over a year - and I thought it was funny that it came on right after I had it serviced.

So, what do you think the problem is, and what can I do about it?

Thank you for your help.
