My service 4 wheel drive light will not go off, I have installed two new switches ig goes off for a few hours then comes back on. When the light is off the 4 wheel drive works fine, when the light comes on the lights on my push button switch goes off & my temp & compass on my mirror quit working as well.
Please help me

You will need to have the 4wd system scanned. Find a shop with the proper software to do the scan. It may not be the switch, it could be any one of the several systems montored by the PCM regarding the 4wd system.A scan will reveal what codes the PCM has stored in regards to this system and we can go from there

There isnt any way to access the information(codes) in the PCM/VCM without the proper scanning equipment. You could just throw parts at it and hope for the best, but thisis why they integrate on-board diagnostics into the systems.I have seen issues with the actuator motors on the transfer cases, but that would just be a guess.
