2002 GMC Sierra oil leaking somewhere

Where in the heck is the oil going in my truck? I change it every 3000 miles, and it doesn't seem to be burning oil (no smell or smoke), but I am constantly a quart low! I don't want to get ripped off at a repair shop. Transmission was replaced a couple of years ago. No oil spot in driveway. Oil light goes off and on. Check engine light has been on for a whole year! I would appreciate any advice. I don't have a garage and don't know how to replace or repair anything myself. Just need to know what to say when I take it into the shop, so they don't overcharge me. If the check engine light has been on for a year, drive by Autozone, they will read the code(s) for free, post the result here.

My husband did take the truck to AutoZone today and the scanner picked up a code that referred to the oxygen sensor. He's gonna take it to a garage tomorrow. I forgot to say that his ABS light is on all the time now, too. Not sure if the two problems are related. Guess we'll see tomorrow. Brakes seem fine...work done on them about a year ago. Maybe it's time to think about trading it in....not looking forward to that. Thanks for the quick answer, though. ;)
