My truck is very hard to start once it has sat idle for a day or so. If I barely turn the ignition after the fuel pump inializes it will crank after about 8 or 10 attemps.

If I continuely to hold the ignition on it will turn over and over but will not start at all. After I have ran the car for 10 or 15 miles it will retart easly. I have replaced the fuel pump once after it fail to ignitialize so I dont think its fuelpump related. I also have replaced the fuel filter once too.

This might be because your fuel injectors are clogged or dirty. Another thing could be you're spark plugs. They could have a lot of carbon on them causing them not to spark. Try using a bottle of fuel injector cleaner next time you fill up with gas to see if that helps out at all. If not, check your spark plugs to see if they're dirty. If so, put some news plugs in to see if that fixes your problem.
