Did a front brake job changed pads and both calipers. Right front caliper not releasing pressure. Not sure if there is metering block between the master cylinder and the front wheels. Left side brakes seem to be releasing ok but right front not releasing, causing excessive heat and wheel to smoke. Or is it more than likley a bad flex line. Had this problem previous to doing brake job. Right side pads were completely gone but left side pads still had meat left on them.

Hi scotty27. Welcome to the forum. To locate the problem, first crack the lines open at the master cylinder. If the brake releases, suspect the fluid is contaminated with petroleum product. That will cause the rubber lip seals to swell and block the fluid return ports. That should affect BOTH front brakes though.

If that doesn't help, crack open the bleeder screw on the right front caliper. If the brake releases, suspect the rubber hose. You can work your way back to a connection that you can get loose such as where the line exists the combination valve on the left frame rail. Finding where the brake will release and where it won't will allow you to locate the restriction.
