1995 GMC Safari wiper switch

1995 GMC Safari 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 142000 miles
Need to know if You have to remove steering wheel to remove the switch? I bought a new lever, and now see that the switch is the problem.... can see it, not sure how it comes out...

unsure of if you have tilt or non tilt, column or floor shift, but in any event the steering wheel will indeed need removed.
