1994 GMC S15 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 150k miles

Vehicle will not start, when I put in the key I can not hear the fuel pump prime. I replaced the fuel pump (2 times). I took off the rotor and noticed that the cap had crude and rotor was loose, replaced them. New plugs, battery, relay and it gets spark to cap. It has started and then next time I went out it would not. Ran diagnostics's it showed that everything was operational. Someone mentioned that the ignition switch could be the culprit.

Motor turns over, just will not start even with starting fluid.

Check your fuses for the fuel pupmp and then check to see if your fuel pump relay is good or not. It's underthe center of your dash. If those are good check yoru fuel pupm pressure. Your wires inside the tank going to the fuel pump may be bad and not allowing your pupmp to work.
