I have a 2002 Chevy Cavelier with 65,000 miles. Recently the temperature gauge has been creeping up, but hasn't reached the red zone. On cold days it runs slightly above average and on hot days it runs a full quarter of the temp gauge higher. Also, my a/c blows cold air when the car is in motion but becomes very warm when I am sitting at a stop light. What is going on?

1st that engine (2.2) is nortorious for running hot and blowing a head gasket or cracking a head. If it has overheated one time you have a problem. Have it checked by a mechanic before you have serious damge.

The A/C could be related to the overheating but you may be low on refrigerant.
