Car turns off

I have a 1992 Chevy Lumina.
The trouble with my car is that after I drive it for awhile the car shuts off on me. I could turn it right back on and drive away. But it still shuts off on me, now I have to let it sit for awhile before I turn it back on. I changed the temperature sensor. Last time I could not turn it on. My brother helped me push it home. When we got home it turned on good. I left it running for a few minutes. Turned it off and it turned right back on. Anybody have an idea what could be wrong. Thank you.

Turning off? Or sputtering dead?

At first it would turn off and I could turn it right back on. Now its sputtering dead. Have to wait awhile to turn it on.
