ANTI LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM
I own a 1995 Yukon 170,000 miles. Just recently when driving the brake pedal will go to the floor and vibrate under your foot This DOES NOT happen EVERY TIME and less frequently the ABS light will come on (rarely). I was told by a mechanic who just drove my truck that the ABS system had gone out (it was never put on any computers) Is this possible and if not what could be the problem? It seems like air in the lines to me but if that was the case wouldn't it go to the floor everytime? Thanks so much for your help

I have the brake warning light ON on the dash, and the ABS light does not work at all, even when I switch to ignite. I also have noticed that the ABS is not working in hard braking.
