I recently bought an 81 Eldorado and put a cutlass 3.8 v6 in it. The engine was in bad shape as well and I replace the manifold, radiator, valve gaskets, and timing chain. The carb is apparently "odd" shaped as the mount is more triangular than round so all the aftermarket air cleaner/ filters wont fit. I checked checkers and Napa w/ no help. Where could I find one? There is also alot of loose wiring, what do I need to help me get all these connected and/or replaced as needed. And lastly, the car the car has a problem accelerating. I know I need to replace the fuel pump but what else should i replace with this?
