We have a 1998 GMC Jimmy 4.3 v-6 with approx. 140000 miles. We have put on two new fuel pumps with in the last 8 months. What could make the fuel pump keep going bad? :? Please help

Running it on low fuel often or running it out of fuel, also depends on amount of use. plugged fuel filter.
