I have a 1997 gmc jimmy with a 4.3 v-6.the miles are 99,386.the 4 wheel drive buttons light up when pushed but it is still spinning in 4 lo and 4 hi but i can hear the motor moving do you think it is the whole transfer case or just the motor.also it has before at highway speed sounded like a high pitch whining noise that got worse when i hit the brakes but if i hit the 4 hi button it would stop the noise.the noise came from the front passenger wheel or front end area
