GMC C2500 Repair Question

No cold air
I have a 2005 GMC 2500.
The problem I have is that the other day the air stop working all together. After looking at the proablem I found that hte compressure was not coming on. No voltage to the compressure. I feel I have a relay that got hot and stopped working. My son-in -law has a simalar problem with his truck only he's only work on the Drivers side. The next morning the air worked fine on my truck, has anyone had the same problems or heard of a recall to repair this?
