2003 GMC C2500 Repair Question

2003 GMC Sierra 2500 HD 6.6 diesel 4x4
My driver side tire makes a squeaking noise especially when a taking a right curb at any speed above 15 mph. my buddy said that it could be my wheel bearing, is he correct?
