2000 GMC Sierra running then stopping

This morning my truck just up and quit. I left the house and when I tried to accelearate it stalled. Hard to start and would idle at about 2500RPM. Tried to put it in drive and accelarte. Cut out and stalled. It was very difficult to get going again and I could not give it any gas but it would idle. A few minute later it would not start at all. Let is sit for about 30 seconds then it would run again for 2-3 seconds. Then would slowing idle down until it stalled. If I tried to start it immediately it would only turn over and not run. If I repeated the rest period it would start.

Should I be thinking fuel pump or passlock?

Fuel pump, also check for vacuum leaks

It was the fuel pump. Replaced. Works fine.
