Engine Cooling problem
1998 GMC C2500 V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

This truck has coolant leaking around the fitting that connects the EGR pipe to the left exhaust manifold.
Coolant is leaking around the threads where the fitting threads into the top rear of the manifold.
Is this a leaking intake to head gasket? If so, how does it get into the exhaust side instead of being pulled into the intake? There is no sign of water in the oil.

Thanks

There could be several issues to your coolant leak, on that particular year. They had an intake manifold gasket that malfunctioned, they also had an EGR issue allowing coolant to get into the exhaust, and they also had a heater hose problem at the front of the intake manifold, you are going to have to have that pressure checked to find out exactly where it is leaking.
