I HAVE A 1994 GMC 2500 VAN 5.0L, WHEN I TURNT THE IGNITION SWITCK TO START THE VAN THE STARTER DIDN'T CRANK THE MOTOR. SO I TOOK A TEST LIGHT TO SEE IF I WAS GETTING ANY JUICE TO THE SOLENOID AND THE TEST LIGHT DIDN'T COME ON, COULD THAT BE A BAD IGNITION SWITCH OR IS MY NEUTRAL SWITCH BAD.I HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY AND THE HEADLIGHTS, RADIO, WIPERS ETC. ALL WORK. WHAT DO I DO TO TEST THE IGNITION SWITCH AND NUETRAL SWITCH.

Check the starter solinoid first, turn the key on use a srewdrver, or a piece of heavy gauge wire, ceoss the I and S terminals ont the thing on the top of the starter. Did it start? If so replace the starter. KEEP clear of moving engine parts!
