I just got done replaceing my head gaskets and in the process the distributer was moved.. I put it all back together and now cant get it to even start. I tried finding TDC but I dont know for sure i am doing it right

I have found that there is an indentation at the bottom of dist. on the side. With a white paint mark lined up on that and being TDC you can stab dist. When it goes in there is an 8 or a 6 for how many cylinders you have molded in the plastic up top on dist. The rotor needs to then be pointing to the correct one. If you can get a hold of a manual it tells you about it a little bit.
