Engine Performance problem
1996 GMC C1500 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 444K miles
While driving @ highway speeds, with tach at about 1800-2000, the engine dies when a slight pressure is put on the throttle. I can cycle the key off and then on and the engine fires. I cannot re-engage the cruise control unless I tap the brakes first.
I have replaced all 4 O2 sensors and the mass airflow sensor, as well as the plugs and ignition wires. The fuel pump has been dropped, examined and reinstalled by a seasoned mechanic.
We are at a loss at this point. I'm thinking it might be the throttle position sensor, but what do I know?
