After making a stop sometimes my suburban's rear axle will "thud" a couple of seconds after I let off the brake and under load. It doesn't seem like the U joints because I am already moving. Seems like it's coming from the right rear side.Sometimes when I turn a corner there is a grinding noise not all the time. Is my differential failing?
I did change the oil in the pumpkin and found very little metal. Seemed like the right rear axle had more slop than the left rear. Bearings? axle shaft? Help! Heard horror stories at repair shops.
