Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Geo Tracker 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 100,00 miles

my 97 tracker has a knocking in the engine, i have heard it before on another car i had, it threw a rod. my ligh came on for oil and i didnt have the money for it until almost a week later, just before i put oil in, it started knocking, i just put 4 quarts oil in and i of stp oil treatment, it is still knocking, is there any way to keep it working until the first of the year because I cant afford an engine until then. Is there something else I can put in to keep it quiet and last a little longer? Please help...Thanks
