what transmission is in a 1991 geo tracker four wheel drive,it has a 4-cylinder in it,and where can i get a book to show me in detail how to rebuild it.

The 1.6L Tracker in 1991 has 3L30, MD2 tranny. Check your local library for repair manuals on your vehicle. If you need help with anything specific, such as how to remove oil pan from tranny or removing torque conerter etc..., I can provide steps for that.
