Front passenger door wont open from outside

07 Kia Sedona front passenger door wont open from outside. Power door lock is stuck at "locked" position - will not budge using remote, power button, and manually. However you can open the door fromninside even though door lock is stuck at lockednposition. Wife thinks it happened when she tried to unlock the door with remote while kid pulling the door handle to. Open at same time. I tooknoff the doormpanel but nothing obvious. Help!

You've got the panel off that's good. Pull up on the outside door handle while you look inside to see what moves. You should be able to see the inside part of the door handle moving at least. There will be link rods in there reach around in there and move the rods by hand to see what they operate. Be careful the metal inside the doors can be very sharp! There should be a link rod that attaches to the outside door handle. If all of that is in place then it sounds like the door lock is broken and the inside door handle works as a safety feature so kids cant get locked in the car
