Bad Boost

I am working on a 1988 motorhome on a ford chassis. When it was being boosted the battery was hooked up backwards. Now when we start it the engine dies as soon as we disconnected the boosting battery. I have checked some of the fusible links and they seem fine. What else should I be looking for?

Check any and all fuses.. But if it dies when you disconnect the other battery i'd be leaning towards the alternator.. Might have fried some of the components inside there..

More than likley it is a fried alt. But try dissconcting the cables and reconnecting them.
