Airflow in vents

I have a 2001 Ford Windstar with 72k miles and a 3.8 v-6. When I turn on the AC or heat and attempt to route the air through the front facing vents, the air will only come out the defroster vents. The AC and heat are working fine but the air will not divert out of the front facing vents. We recently had a manifold gasket replaced - is it possible that this work could have caused the venting problem?

Thanks for the quick response! - I kind of suspected that. Is a vaccum line reconnection something I can do or am I better off having the shop fix it? They already had to perform rework on the manifold gasket once (they used the outdated gasket kit which caused my engine light to come on).
