The "Service Engine" light has been on now for about a year with no problems. However, lately it has been flashing periodically and now it also surges. While driving, especially uphill the engine will pulsate and runs extremely rough. Please help. Oh, and I did have a OBD2 tester hooked up and it says that the "Intake Manifold Runner Control Bank 1 and 2 stuck open." Would this have anything to do with it?

Thanks for replying to my question. I figured it would be something pricey seeing how its a Ford. They always want to rip-off their consumers. It's best to just go foreign because they know what they're doing. Thanks again for the info.

Imrc's can be fixed if someone knows how to diagnose it, the actuators do fail on occasion, be careful. they are powerful, keep appendages out of the way.. if you think Fords are pricey, start pricing some foreign parts.. no one has the market cornered on all points..

Thank you for responding to my question as well, it's good to hear from someone that knows what they are talking about. As far as pricey parts I guess you are probably right, it's just a kicker when they come from a dealership. TaurusWheel, do have any references to the IMRC that you could send me, i.e. pictures? I have the haynes manual but there isn't much in there. Thank you again. "bowlcut3x@gmail.com"
