1997 Ford Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THIS TRUCK OF MY DADS FOR OVER A WEEK NOW AND HAVE CHANGED BOTH COIL PACKS, PLUGS, WIRES AND NOTHING HAS HELPED YET. HOOKED UP TO A DIANOSTIC COMPUTER THAT SHOWED THE #4 CYCLINDER NOT FIRING. CHANGED THE COIL PACK AGAIN AND EVEN WENT AS FAR AS CHECKING THE INJECTORS AND SWAPING THAT ONE WITH #1. AFTER DOING THIS THE COMPUTER SHOWED #1 NOT FIRING. REPLACED THAT INJECTOR AND IT STILL SHOWED #1 NOT FIRING. COULD THIS PROBLEM BE WITH THE COMPUTER OF THIS TRUCK? I KNOW THIS COULD BE A BURNED VALVE BUT IM ALMOST SURE IT'S IN THE FIRING SYSTEM. WHAT AM I MISSING WITH IT?

Pull the wire and check if its firing on #4 cyl
check if the injector pulsing on #4 cylinder
if you have spark, pulse and you changed the injector with a known good one
what left is a compression test
cylinder # 4 is the last one in on the passenger side
