Alternator or starter
Electrical problem
1997 Ford Thunderbird V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 95000 miles
I just bought a 1997 T-bird two days ago. I tried to start it today and there was a single click and then the car shut down, no power to anything. I tried again and this time no click, just no power again. I took the battery in to get tested and it has a full charge. The attendant recommeded to test the alternator.
I will have the car towed to a mechanic's shop tomorrow. Will this problem be easy to diagnose? Also, how long can this take and does it require any special tools? I ask because I don't want to be overcharged.
Thanks guys,
Jack
