Noises problem
1996 Ford Thunderbird Engine Size unknown Two Wheel Drive Automatic 90,000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I went to a shop to have my oil changed a few months ago and while they were doing that the mechanic told me that there is a hole in my radiator hose. I decided not to do anything about that and thought i would just do it later. I never got around to fixing it but the car still ran well so i just forgot about the problem. The other day i turned on my car and it started to make a lot of noise, especially when it shifted gears, and then it died on me. I can get it to run a little, but only if i constantly rev the engine and it will only last about 30 seconds before stalling again. I also tried driving it and i would not go any faster than 25 mph. I think the engine could be destroyed because i neglected to fix that radiator problem. Is that the problem? If so do i have to buy a new engine or is there a cheaper way to fix it?

OK so right now there is no coolant in it...add some thing water, coolant, just as a test, then get a comrpession tester, remove all the plugs and test, then pressure test the cooling system. Orange coolored build up is rust...
