Electrical problem
1988 Ford Thunderbird V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 213k miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Engine turns over. I connected a test light from the red wire of the injector to the positive battery terminal, and turned car over. The test light would not light, indicating that there is something wrong with that circuit, what I do not know. I have replaced the ICU along side the dist, I do have spark. What is the problem?
Thanks

Stick the test light probe into the red wire socket of the harness and ground the other end-do you have power?

I checked the ground for this, if it is near the ignition coil, then this ground was good.

The injector/s ground drivers are integrated in the computer.

You need to bring it in and get it tested or swap for a known good one and see what happens.

Ok, thanks for your help, I will just have to get another one because I don't live in the USA. I will ask the local Ford dealer if he can test it, but I doubt he can.
