Just wondering if someone could tell me why my car is revving up when it's on park and also accelerates on it's own.

Thanks

My 85 eldorado did the same thing. Drove it over to have it checked out and never once had to apply the gas, instead I rode the brake the whole way there while the car steadilly tried to increase its speed on me. An electrical problem I found. I replaced the TPS (throtle position sensor). Spendy little sucker! But my car stopped acting like "CHRISTINE".

This is another problem my Thunderbird has. It keeps driving on its own lol I just let it drive basically all the way to school and just use the brake to try and stop it. Gets up pretty quick to on its own.

Where can I get a replacement sensor and can I repair this myself?
