1987 ford tempo, 2.3, 49000 miles. Car wont start. Kicks over but wont run. If its an ecc relay how do I test it? I read one of your posts that said it coule be the ecc

The first thing to do is check for fuel, spark and compression. If you don't have all 3, the car won't run. If you're missing 1 of the three, that will help narrow down what the problem is.
