1994 Ford Tempo Automatic

Hello,
My name is Raymond, and I just recently purchased a '94 Ford Tempo. When I purchased it it was running fine, but now the shoulder belt on the driver side is not working. All it does is hum a WHOLE lot. I can not afford the migraines because I work a lot so I was wondering what the quickest way to fix this would be.

Sounds like the plastic drive belt is stripped? But who knows what you mean by hum? It's a pretty complex system. You can unplug motor for that side(hum?) By taking apart door post plastic trim covers for access. Or fix by getting a new drive belt assembly from scrap yard. Try checking other ideas by doing a search of this tempo forum for "seatbelt". You may be able to turn off motor an easier way? Like pull a relay? Or fuse if you dont need either of them to work?
