Engine Performance problem
1992 Ford Tempo 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic N/A miles

when in Park & cold it idles ok, after a few minutes it will start to either idle too high or too low. When I drive it, it will stall like not enuf gas goin' thru? & Will turn off sometimes at a stop.
could it be the Idle Air Control Valve?

Thanks 4 ur time!

Could be many things including the IAC. Not enough info on mileage and maintenance to make a intelligent guess. How long ago did this start, was it sudden or gradual, when was last tuneup, etc.

Just found out that the fckn car has 193,814 miles! I checked the fusesbut all were ok but then I wanted to check the fuse links, but how do I do that if I donts have a diagram? Also took the car to autozone & they hooked it up to a hand held computer thingy & it would not register anything? Thats why I checked the fuses, but not the fuse links! What to do? Thankls!

For the fuse links u could try to find the wires u wana test and use a volt meter and see if u have power on both ends of the wire. U could try to change the fuel filter

Sounds like a possible fuel pressure problem! The pump or the regulator!Maybe pick up a spare computer from boneyard and try!
