Valve cover...
Engine Mechanical problem
1988 Ford Tempo 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 138000 miles
I bought a 88 ford tempo automatic, and i changed the valve cover gasket from a oil leak but now there is pressure going through the valve cover and light smoke. i have had it looked at and they say its the piston rings are stuck and some say its compression rings in the engine but they just looked and saw what it was doing and guesstimated what it was.

Check to see if the pcv valve is sticking. It may just need a new valve. I its ok you might want to do a compression test to see if your rings are seating good.
