Ok, disconnecting it was just a temporary fix

its acting up again, not as bad but yeah.

It ran like a champ for 2 days even when hot, and now its screwing off again

now at 20 - 40 mph its stumbling and stuttering when the gas is barely let up and then pressed again(even when cold) which it never did before, could that be because the ISC is disabled?

Its also jerking again at times, ALOT less but still jerking nonetheless

so where too next?

Do I need to get the ISC replaced before I can proceed?

If there's a problem with ISC it will cause a fluctuating idle speed/runs rough-Sounds like it stumbling/hesistating-Inspect and test the following below

Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard.

Did you check/replace the TPS (thottle position sensor)
use ohmeter. No fluctuations/skips allowed! And does the car have a new coil wire? It really acts like an egr problem. You can remove and make gasket out of tin that blocks port completely as a temp test.

I just received the ISC today and will be swapping it out tomorrow, I'm hoping that's the prob as I know its faulty because of the rattling noise it makes. But I don't really have the symptoms of a bad one, except the idle surge and high idle

@fixitmr, I was googling around yesterday and noticed that I have 4 of the 5 symptoms of a bad TPS, all except the speed surge. I do have the idle surge quite a bit, but that could be the ISC

i drove it last night for the 1st time in 3 days to look for more symptoms of the TPS, and it didn't even wait til it got warm to start bucking and jerking, so its a huge finger pointed at the TPS now (thank goodness its a $25 part)
the RPM's were also "surging" at a steady speed

anyways, i'll get back here and let you know whats going on
