Transmission problem?
Hi everyone.
I have a 1998 ford taurus V6 DOHC and recently the check engine light came on and my car has begun to lurch into changing into second gear.
also, its seems to make a buzzing sound of sorts in lower gears.

Stop somewhere at a local autoparts store and get the codes read for free, do it pretty quick.. weird shifting may not be good..my 99 dohc ax4n trans, planetary gearset fractured into three pieces, total destruction.. my trans man was astounded at the level of damage.. not trying to scare anyone, it could be something relatively simple. get it looked at pronto when you notice a change in shift functions
