I have a 2002 Ford Taurus SE and the heat in the car doesn't blow hot air, When I turn it on low it blows a low amount of heat in the car but only when it is on the deforster but once you turn it up higher it blows cold air, it comes on and works just doesn't blow hot the a/c works fine. What could the problem be?

I had the same problem, replaced the thermostate twice before I got a good one and I bought a small pump to hook to my drill. I used it to pump a solution of iron out and water through my heater core. Lots of crap came out and it works fine now.

Hey Tom thank you for the reply! I was wondering if I were to take it to a mechanic do you happen to know what would be an estimate of what the price would be?

Should run you around 45 to 50 bucks to have it flushed and the thermostat replaced + parts it is best to have the hole system flushed and have fresh coolant put back.(NOS) 8)
