Ford Taurus red light

Ususally when making a turn a red light on my dash comes on, it's on the RPM panel, looks like a lantern with a drip coming from it. What does this mean? I have a Ford Taurus SE, V4, approx 40K miles

It is time to refill the headlights with kerosene....oops
That was for a model-t, not the tauraus model.

It sounds like the oil light. Check the level of the oil, if good check the oil pressure.

May be low oil, low oil pressure of oil sending unit went bad. Most often it is the sender.
