Cause of radiator cap not hot after driving 28 miles
I drove home from work this evening, in a 93 Ford Taurus. I noticed some type of smell and noise the closer to home I got. When I did make it home, there was smoke coming for the area where the serpentine belt is located. I felt the radiator and the cap and it did not feel hot. Could this be my water pump went out? I just had the belt changed and the tensioner pully about 2 weeks ago.

Could be the water pump.Try taking the belt off and seeing if one of the accessories is locked-up
