Upper upper radiator hose

Engine Cooling problem
2002 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 110000 miles

My upper upper radiator hose began to leak from the connection point coming from the reserve into the upper radiator hose assembly. Can i just replace the smaller part or do i have to buy the whole assembly? When i called the delearship they said the assembly is around $150 but i checked online and the part# Km-3026 is available for around $40

The hose is available for a lot less through the after market

Taurus0513,

My 2002 taurus is leaking from the same spot. I ordered the part from Napa for around $40. Did you have any luck replacing it? I can't figure out some of the hose connectors.

This hose is designed to fail and damage your engine. It is very expensive here in Canada and difficult to replace. I show an easier way of solving the problem on my web site at
