I have a 2001 Ford Taurus SES Station Wagon with 66,000 miles. I am second owner. Nor towing, or hard driving. I had not problems with transmission, but took the car in for transmission preventable maintenance. They dropped pan flushed and replaced with new gasket and told me I had a crankshaft seal leak. My question is: Previous to the service I had NO leak and now that I am back at home, there are spots of leaking at two areas on my carport floor. How can this be? My carport is new and there have been no leaks before this.
Can you help me? BETTY

What color is the fluid? Is it red? If so take it back to where you got the service and let them make sure they sealed the pan correctly. It's possible they may have left some bolts loose or possibly pinched the gasket. Good luck :)
