The oil pressure light illuminates when I press the brake. Usually starts when I've been driving for about 20 minutes or have been going at a speed of over 60 miles. But when I start accelerating again it goes off. What would make the oil pressure light illuminate when I press the brakes?

This happened even after I got the oil changed and the mechanic doesn't know what's causing it. Is there some type of substitute I can use when I change the oil to help the engine oil pressure level?

I would have the oil pressure sensor checked, and if that is ok you may want to have a manual oil pressure test done to determine whats causing it

Thank you for your response. I think you might be right because the check light just started coming on yesterday which in the past usually meant one or more of the sensors needed to be replaced. I'll make sure they check the oil pressure sensor when I take it in.
