Ford Taurus Transmission Problem

Transmission problem
2000 Ford Taurus 6 cyl 114745 miles

When I put my foot on the brakes my car jerks like someone gave it a slight push.I was told to get brakes done i got new rotors and pads put on. problem is still there. I checked my transmission fluid dosent seem to have a burnt smell. The guy at meinecke told me to see a transmission shop to see if it is my tranny. I got a head gasket fixed in july got a tune up only spark plugs and wires and new pcv valve should i try gettin a new fuel filter put on?Or do you think its my transmission?Car drives ok may be just a liliitle bit of power gone I dont have to put my foot on the gas hard to go.He did say i Have a motor mount that needs to be fixed but to go check on my transmission first.
