My car will not just crank. I have to start it and press the gas until it stays on itself. Then it pops on. If I dont hold the gas pedal down it faintly runs or cuts off completely. Can you please assist with an answer??

Replace the idle air control.silver tube about 3 inches long by throttle body.has a wire plug in and and 2 small bolts about 8 to 10 mm.runs approx. $55 to 75.00 at autozone.
