had the altenator load tested and it was done for. Coming home to change it out, the car was sputtering, could get no RPM's - going was very slow . Barely got it home. Smoke rolling out from under the engine, power steering failed. Did I hurt my engine? also needed a jump on a new battery @ the place we got thenew altenator, will I now need a new battery too?
